I got the opportunity to write, direct and design this animated short film while I was attending college in London.

The story was inspired by a real place in Rome, where I'm from: in a central square called Gianicolo you can still find an old puppet theatre where the kids living in the near neighbourhoods used to be taken to enjoy the marionettes' show inspired by the character of the Commedia dell'Arte. I happened to be one of those kids!

An old puppet theatre stands alone in a city park, looking for someone to entertain. Suddenly a kid sits on a bench not far from there while playing with his mobile phone. Soon, the puppet theatre has an idea to tempt him and distract him from his mobile phone, creating a playful interaction which will show to the kid how intriguing can be the world over the screen.
